Caipirinha Appreciation Society :: brazilian music podcast :: Brazil beyond clichés

Produced for the University of London’s SOAS Radio and shared with the world as a podcast, the Caipirinha Appreciation Society offers its audience two hours of wonderful under-exposed Brazilian music of all styles, regions and time-periods, from vintage sambas to modern blends.

MdC Suingue (Portuguese for "Swing") founded the Caipirinha Appreciation Society in 2004, to show the world that there is a lot more to Brazilian music than what radio stations and record companies would have you believe. Kika Serra joined the CAS in 2006, when the show became a bi-national broadcast.
